The Committee on State Building and Local Self-Government recommends that the Parliament should adopt as a basis the draft law on amendments to article 30 of the Law “On Local Self-Government in Ukraine” re accounting and technical inventory

The bill (Reg. No. 2371) suggests include to the list of inherent (self-governing) authorities of executive bodies of village, township and city councils the authority pertaining to accounting of immovable property objects, irrespective of the type of ownership and, thereat, exclude the abovementioned authority from the list of delegated one. Apart from that, it is suggested include the authority to hold technical inventory of the abovementioned objects into the list of inherent authorities of executive bodies of village, township and city councils.

It was noted that approval of the bill shall allow territorial communities and their local self-governmental bodies to more effectively implement their authority regarding independent settlement of issues of local significance.
